Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii (Still World Is Beautiful) Season 2
I just discovered that the anime Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii (Still World Is Beautiful) is extended in the manga version. I was looking for a sequel and I found this one instead. Enjoy!
This one starts right after the last episode in the anime.
Note: Some of the summaries here are written in a serious tone. But the manga has a way of making fun of certain things. You won't get this unless you read the manga. There are many funny parts that I have also left out. After all, this is only a summary, although it tends to become detailed at times. I recommend reading the manga! It's 5/5.
Chapter 20: Shock of the lightning

Summary:
Taishi, the King of Sand Empire, is visiting the Sun Empire. Nike is tasked to be the host. Also known as the Thunder King, Prince Taishi dislikes luxury though and doesn't seem to be impressed. At the end of one banquet, Nike sings her usual rain song but things don't go according to plan. For the first time, a royal guest is not happy about it and could only mutter, "This is nothing to joke about."
Chapter 21: Determination

Summary:
Faraha, the Thunder King's assistant, causes trouble in the Sun Kingdom as a result of her devastation from the rain summoning. Nike goes to the Thunder King to ask him what was wrong. It turns out that the Sand Kingdom has been having water problems as rain falls on it less and less. To them, water is like blood, a miracle. The Sun Kingdom treated it as a spectacle. Nike then later on resolves to visit the Sand Kingdom to see the drought herself. Livius, the Sun King allows her to go in exchange for a kiss.
Chapter 22: The Empire of Sand

Summary:
Nike is introduced to the Sand Kingdom via the Aralamani Desert with the saying that "once you enter, you cannot leave." The hosts are impressed by Nike's behavior all-throughout the trip. Upon arriving, Nike notices that the sky in the Sand Kingdom has a certain "stubbornness" to it and reckoned it will be difficult to summon the rain there. They go from oasis to oasis. It was fine at first but as they go deeper into the Sand Kingdom, the environment becomes harsher. The hosts become even more impressed when Nike goes inside a sick home despite their warnings that the sickness is contagious and the death rate high. Right after that, Nike requests permission to summon the rain, which she does successfully for a few drops. The Sand Kingdom is still grateful though because Nike has managed to uplift their spirits.
Chapter 23: Within the Light

Summary:
Nike continues to summon a few drops of rain in every oasis to the Sand Kingdom's glee. People starts to wish that she stays there permanently. While going to the next oasis, the group encounters a sand storm and is forced to take shelter to the nearest town, Najilah. This is a conservative town ruled by the Thunder King's uncle and does not take kindly to strangers. Still, Nike wins them over.
Afterwards, Prince Taishi appeared to be falling for Nike and made a move. He asked that Nike remain in the Sand Kingdom forever and leaned in to kiss Nike.
Meanwhile, a huge sand storm threatened to engulf the town.
Chapter 24: Hypothermia

Summary:
Nike refuses the kiss and apologizes to Prince Taishi as she squeezes her engagement ring. The Thunder King is saddened but Nike quickly notices that something dangerous was coming to where they are. It was the sand storm.
Nike gets caught in one of the horses and falls down but Prince Taishi was following closely and picked her up from the ground. Nike is unconscious as she has injured her head and is getting hypothermia. At the Sun Kingdom, the Sun King accidentally breaks a cup as he felt that Nike was calling him.
When Nike regains conciousness, she finds herself sitting against Prince Taishi and covered with his cloak. A search party finds them but because of Nike's injury, she'll have to extend their stay at Najilah.
While she is recuperating, the head of Najilah tells Prince Taishi that they plan to inform the Sun Kingdom that Nike is missing and she will be part of the Sand Kingdom from now on. The head convinces Prince Taishi that the Sun King could just find another wife and all they have to do is hide Nike for a few years. Prince Taishi thus orders for the execution of this plan, partly to help the kingdom and partly because he has fallen for her.
Chapter 25:

Summary:
Faraha, the Thunder King's assistant, confronts Uluma, the one who convinced Prince Taishi to not let go of Nike. Uluma explains to her that he has felt that it wasn't only the citizens that grew fond of her but the Thunder King as well. For the first time, Prince Taishi needs 'someone.'
Nike wakes up to scent of flowers and wonders if she is back to the Sun Kingdom. She sees a shadow sitting on the bed and calls him "Livi." It turns out to be Prince Taishi.
Prince Taishi apologizes and informs her that she won't be able to come back to the Sun Kingdom. He pleads to her that she has given them more than rain. She has given them hope. He tries to touch her hand and she recoils back. He then tells her, "If you tell me not to touch you, then I promise not to touch you for life. If you tell me not to appear before you, then I promise not to appear before you for life. But please remember this. There's no other country or people out there, who needs your power more!"
Faraha however later on, sneaks into Nike's room and tells her that she'd going to help her escape. Nike however have reservations because she didn't want to leave the people to despair. Faraha tells her to stop thinking about other people and to think of herself for once. She goes on to explain that she wants Prince Taishi to haves someone love him back, too. Falaha then asks Nike who she wants to be with. Nike says she wants to go back to Livi.
Chapter 26: Question With No Resolution

Summary:
The chapter starts with Prince Taishi recalling his childhood with his deceased sister, Amardina, who loves plants. He promises to check again when they bloom after rain drops. Prince Taishi got reminded of this memory when Nike summoned the rain in the Sun Kingdom. He was about to rest when he is informed that Nike has escaped. Faraha is immediately suspected as an accomplice. Taishi orders that they be caught and clenches his fist not in anger, but in despair.
Unbeknownst to them, Faraha and Nike are still in the castle grounds and are hiding behind pillars. Security has been increased and all cargoes leaving the city is being inspected. One stopped cargo is being ridden by the Thunder King's brother. The security let him pass. However, Faraha and Nike were hiding in it, too. The brother tells Nike that he has been observing her for the last few days and liked how she has helped the country. He however does not approve on how the kingdom is handling it. He then says that Taishi has so lost himself in Nike that he was willing to enter a war with the strong Sun Kingdom.
At the Sun Kingdom, Livius angrily clenches a piece of paper he just read. He tells his right-hand, Neil, to prepare because Nike is in danger. They were going to the Empire of the Sand.
There is another glimpse in Taishi's past. He had wielded the power ever since he had overruled his mother's decision to not share the royal water storage. It is also revealed that many of their royal family is weak because they rarely married outside their family lines. He has worked hard to help his people and more. He wonders if the kingdom will destroy itself, now that the one person (Nike) who said would support them is gone.
In the carriage going to the next oasis, Faraha and Nike cry.
Chapter 27:

Summary:
Prince Taishi is informed that his brother is probably helping Nike and they have probably left the castle. Taishi tells them that they can still catch because they need to cross Terakia before they can get out of the kingdom.
Faraha and Nike reaches Terakia. The Thunder King's brother has instructed them to find Prime Minister Orkan. He will help them get to the mainland.
While taking a rest, Faraha unreservedly asks if Nike likes older men after all, to which Nike denies. She is concerned however because she has been feeling that someone is trying to call her but could not get through. She worries that her love is wavering. She fears that she will regret abandoning the people of the Sand Kingdom.
The two reach the Prime Minister, who accommodates them. he has been informed that Nike has been missing from the sand storm. He then tells them that they were too late because the Sun Kingdom has also been informed of her missing from the storm. To this, the two requested that they be helped to get back to the Sun Kingdom immediately. The Prime Minister accedes and went to talk to a few people.
Nike then sees a mysterious little girl in the building and chases after her when she runs away. When she caught up to her, Nike realizes that she was the one who was trying to call her. Nike looks around and realizes that it was the flower garden Taishi's sister made. She then heard her say, "Please. Give. Show. Give. To that person."
Soon, the Prime Minister tells them to hide as Taishi is approaching the capitol that very second. Faraha again asks Nike to hide. To her surprise, Nike tells her that she won't be hiding because she has decided that she will be staying at the Sand Kingdom after all!
Nike tells Faraha that she knows what to do now.
Then someone suddenly reports something to the Prime Minister and he got silent. All he could say is, "This country must be done for."
As Taishi approached the capitol, he saw Faraha who informs him that Nike is waiting for him at the Capitol. She also confronts him about what he told Nike. Faraha asks why he had to use the country as his reason to make Nike stay and not tell her upfront that he, himself, needs her. Faraha accuses him of blackmail. He knew very well that her sympathy with the people is her weakness. To his mind, Taishi belies what Faraha said. It's not just about the country. He needs someone to bear the burden with him.
At that point, Terakia's sky darken. This is noticed by the people at the West Oasis of Terakia, where a new guest has just checked in. The new arrival is Livius.
Back at the capitol, Nike is trying to make the flowers in the flower garden bloom with the rain.
Nike is able to source her energy from the people and summon a strong rain.
Taishi rushes to the flower garden and sees the plants there bloom, as promised many years ago by his sister.
Chapter 28:

Summary:
Prince Taishi is stunned at the number of flowers blooming at her deceased sister's garden.
The rain continues even after Nike stopped singing. Nike explains that her singing alone is not enough. There had to be a fusion of the people's desire and her rain summoning power. There was a desire that the blooming flower garden be shown to Prince Taishi. She simply answered those desires.
Hope grew stronger at the Sand Kingdom. Even if they are weak, they will survive. As long as they move forward, it is not the end.
Nike then apologizes to Taishi and tells him that while she loves the Sand Kingdom, she has to go back to the Sun Kingdom. Taishi replies that there was no need to apologize. He only needed one thing, just one moment of love. And on that day, for the first time, he was able to realize that it was okay for his people to live on that land.
Just then, sounds of footsteps is heard.
Livius has come.
Nike runs to him.
Livius then asks Nike what happened.
Flash forward and it was Taishi who explains what happened. He told Livius everything.
Livius demands that the Sand Kingdom compensate for everything they have done as this is already a conflict between two countries.
Taishi affirms as it is true that they had tried to make Nike stay in the country against her will. Livius asks if it was for the country for which they made Nike stay and Taishi says it was for himself. He told Livius he was attracted to Nike.
Taishi clarifies that it was a one-sided love and he will not be pursuing her because he is not qualified for her. He had made his own wants supersede the interest of his people and worse, pretended it was for the sake of the people. Taishi feels that he has betrayed the kingdom and is willing to accept the punishment. His uncle can take over the throne.
At this point, Nike defends Taishi and says the country needs him. Nike pleads that Livius do not mete out any punishment.
Livius eventually wavers and lets Nike have her wish. He also offers help with the irrigation system of the Sand Kingdom.
When Livius and Nike leaves, Taishi ponders and resolves that he is no match to someone, implying Livius.
Livius and Nike have a talk themselves. Nike thanks Livius for everything but Livius has a different reaction. He demanded a detailed narration of every miniscule thing that happened between her and Taishi.
Chapter 29:

Summary:
Nike recounts everything to Livius, including the near-kiss and spending the whole night wrapped in Taishi's arms. Understandably, Livius freaks out. The conversation ends in a fight.
Livi avoids talking to Nike all throughout their trip back to the Sun Kingdom.
Finally after many attempts to talk to him, Nike literally pulls Livi into a private bedroom.
Livi tells her that she looked like she didn't miss him at all. Nike answers that when she thought that she might not see Livi ever again, she was so scared she didn't know what to do with herself. She wanted to hug Livius and for him to hug her back.
Livius forces her to tell him what she exactly wants him to do with her.
Nike answers that she wants to hold hands, and talk, and spend all night with him, and... to kiss.
Livi then moves in for the kill. Bwahahaha

And then, they were back at Sun Kingdom, where they find they have a guest.
This may be my favorite chapter in the series so far. (grin)
Chapter 30:

Summary:
Livius and Nike finds Amaluna "Luna" Luirasael, the Princess of Ocean Country, waiting for them at the Sun Kingdom. She is also Livius' childhood friend and used to call herself Livius' fiancee until she lost to Nike. She has now returned to seek help from them.
Luna has ran away from the Ocean Country. It appears that Luna is going to be in an arranged marriage!
Luna tells them that the guy she is betrothed to is a man of 30 years of age and probably has a beard. Nike tells her that there is nothing wrong with a beard as they are cool, too. Luna retorts that she has no idea that Nike's tastes has already changed. Livius butts in and says that he didn't know that and and asks if Nike is still hiding something from him. Nike changes the topic.
Luna finally tells them that the guy she is supposed to marry is the Duke of the autonomous state of Fortis.
Luna confides in Livius and Nike that she overheard the Duke tell someone that he is serious about the marriage despite the age gap. He told his companion that it would be fine as long as they have a connection. Also, he confesses that having a young wife will keep himself young as well. Luna is horrified, while the others just laugh.
Luna asks that Livius intervene, but Livius refuses as it would be a good alliance between the two countries. Nike tells her she also can't do anything about it.
While Nike and Livius have an intimate talk in the garden, Luna is confronted by Bard, Livius' uncle. Bard asks why she doesn't oppose the marriage like she is showing to them right now. Bard observes that she is really a considerate girl and that despite her suspicions against Fortis, she didn't have the courage to break it off.
Nike and Livius then enter and inform Luna that they're coming with her back to the Ocean Country. Livius says that while he doesn't have any romantic feelings for her, she is still a close friend and he wants her to be happy. Hence, he is going there to check Fortis out.
Livius asks a staff as to what he heard about Fortis. The staff informs him that Fortis is well-regarded but there is a rumor circulating about him. The rumor says he does not discriminate between men and women and that he is a sex maniac!
Luna looked like she is going to faint.
Meanwhile, at a castle somewhere, a bearded guy is informed that Luna is coming back to the Ocean Country with the Sun King. He tells his staff that he will check on how their high tempered princess is faring.
Chapter 31:

Summary:
Nike, Livius and Luna arrives at the Ocean Country. Nike is amazed on how much water there is at her place. They are surrounded by lakes. A welcoming ceremony has been set up at the capitol Rama. Luna's family gathered to welcome the Sun King.
And of course, Duke Fortis is there.
He didn't look that old although he had a small beard. He is also frank and told Livius that he was younger and more handsome than he expected.
Just then, Luna arrives and everyone is surprised. She is escorted by a handsome guy!
Unbeknownst to them, the escort is really Nike in disguise.
Duke Fortis kisses Luna's hand and tells her to call him Claude. Luna tells him not to worry and he may leave now that he has seen and never come back.
Luna announces that she has come to break off the engagement and introduces her escort as Kanaris Micaine, vice-captain in the Sun Kingdom army. Luna tells everyone that she is marrying him.
Later, Luna is confronted by her brother Teibe and Luna sticks to her story. But Luna proceeds to talk on and on about giving their parents the shock treatment and her brother figures out that Luna isn't really interested in Kanaris.
While Kanaris walks around the palace, she overhears Fortis talk about what just happened. Fortis tells his companion that he feels bad for Luna but he cannot break off the engagement without finishing something first. They consider what to do with Kanaris but decided against it as he has the Sun Kingdom's backing.
Just then, Fortis and his companion spot Kanaris.
Kanaris asks them what they were talking about and Fortis tells him that that is not the way to ask. He makes it clear that he will not answer him.
Kanaris then says whatever Fortis is planning, he intends to protect Luna.
Fortis laughs and says they do love each other. But, he has no intention of handing Luna over to Kanaris. Fortis says Luna is such a naughty girl and that is why she is worthwhile to have. He then challenges Kanaris. Fortis tells him that he will steal Luna from him.
Chapter 32:

Summary:
Kanaris runs to Luna and Livius and tell them that she overheard Fortis planning for something. But since they don't have any evidence, they have no choice but to proceed as they were doing and convince everyone that Kanaris and Luna are deeply in love with each other.
Just then, Luna's brother Teibe walk in on them. He has been eavesdropping the whole time. He offers his help as he doesn't want anyone to marry his sister for ulterior motives. He still doesn't realize that Kanaris is Nike however.
Meanwhile, Fortis sneezes and wonders if Luna was talking about him. His aide tells him that it is possible but probably because she is issuing death threats against him at that moment. They talk and Fortis admits that he wouldn't try flirting with a little girl like Luna but he thinks she is very interesting. He is impressed that a ten-year old has worked that fast and able to get a fiancee at a very short time. Someone then appears. It was Prime Minister Garariya, the prime minister of the Ocean Country.
The prime minister offers Fortis a gift. It was a jar full of cash.
After the prime minister leaves, the aide chides Fortis for accepting the gift. Fortis says that most autonomous regions do not like the Ocean Country. He likes it because there is both good and bad in it, just like Fortis. Whichever wins, only a queen can neutralize.
The next morning, Fortis took his breakfast with Luna, Livius, Kanaris, and Teibe. Luna promptly informs him that she hasn't slept at all the night before because Kanaris wouldn't let her.
Later, Kanaris finds Teibe in a sullen mood. Kanaris gives him a pep talk about having different abilities and not comparing yourself to another. Teibe, invigorated, calls Kanaris the coolest man of all men, to the devastation of Kanaris.
Kanaris runs to Livius, who sees right through her. He promises to treat her like a woman after his meeting.
Chapter 33:

Summary:
That night, Nike wakes up with someone rubbing on her body. She thinks it's Livius, until she realizes it was only the cat. Booo! haha
5 days after arriving to Ocean Country, Nike has been sleeping in the same room as Luna and would daily dress up as Kanaris.
Fortis hasn't given up yet and sent a gift to Luna.
The whole hallway was filled with a rare flower Lizeria, which happens to be Luna's favorite. Getting one is supposed to be hard but he was able to fill one hallway with it. Luna unwillingly accept the gift. Kanaris then nervously told Luna that she can't compete against Fortis with this kind of stuff and Livius will have to lend her money. Luna tells her that she doesn't expect Nike to do such a thing and that it's okay.
Luna tells Nike that she plans to seriously embarrass Fortis during the sightseeing event at the Lake Ariado that day. Nike asks how and Luna tells her she is still thinking of the details.
Meanwhile, Fortis' aide scolds Fortis for employing a costly method to win Luna to his side. He tells Fortis to charm her, not to be costly.
Kataris, Luna, and Livius arrive at Ariado Lake to the delight of Kataris.
Fortis approaches Luna and asks whether she liked his gift. She replies that she did not mind them. Fortis smiles and says he knew that the color will match Luna's beauty and placed a flower on her ear. Luna tells him to not touch her. Fortis smiles and says he wants to have a talk with her at least once.
Luna agrees to the shock of everyone.
Luna brings Fortis to her secret location, which is reached via boat. Luna tells him to row to a very far location across the lake. Fortis abides because Luna dared him. In any case, Luna plans to leave Fortis on the island for a day or two so he will never come back. She then will let Kanaris "rescue" Fortis so that he will get embarrassed.
Livius and Kanaris/Nike goes ahead to the island. Nike notices that her chest hurts and she couldn't breathe easy.
Just then, the weather goes bad and wind picks up. Fortis tells Luna that he doesn't know what she plans but maybe she should put it off another day because of the weather. Right after, strong winds threatened to knock Luna off the boat.
At the island, the weather continues to deteriorate and Livius and Nike had to take cover. Then, Livius notices that Nike is pale blue.
Back at the boat, Luna is indeed knocked off the boat, unconscious, and now drowning.
Chapter 34:

Summary:
Fortis immediately dives after Luna. He spots Luna underwater and brings her back to the boat. She is breathing but there is water in her lungs. To make matters worse, Fortis realizes that there is a hole in the boat.
Luna wakes up on dry land and sees someone near her. She lashes out and tells him not to get any closer.
It was Fortis. He was checking up on her because she wasn't regaining consciousness at that time. Fortis' hair got messed up and is now having a long, black shoulder-length hair. Luna herself is wearing just a basic nighshift as her clothes got wet. Luna rues that her plan backfired and she now owes a favor to Fortis instead.
Livius finds Luna and Fortis and tells her that they have to postpone the plan. Kanaris has collapsed.
Fortis offers to help and checks out Kanaris. Apparently, Fortis already knew that Kanaris is Nike from the very beginning. He says he knew by instinct.
Fortis tells them that the thin air in Ocean Country and the tight chest bindings are to blame. They loosened Nike's clothes and let her rest. While waiting, they confessed what they planned to do with Fortis, to which Fortis could only say, "You sure are dangerous kids."
Then, they realize they have no way back as even the boat used by Livius was carried away by the wind. The four of them are now stranded.
Luna and Fortis scavenges for food while Livius stays with Nike in case she wakes up earlier than expected. Luna stopped being mean to Fortis.
They also spot a medicinal plant called Maria grass. It is supposed to help the lungs and ease the pain, perfect for Nike. Luna offers to climb for it. Fortis objects but Luna says it is something she has to do. She also thanked Fortis for telling her it wasn't her fault earlier. She felt better about it.
Just then, Fortis touches her hair and brings it to his face. He tells her, "You are really interesting. Your bravery is abundant. This is what I much prefer."
Suddenly, Fortis realizes what he was doing and lets go, telling her it was just a good luck superstition.
Fortis then guides Luna as she climbs for the medicinal plant.
Chapter 35:

Summary:
Luna manages to get the plant from the cliff to Fortis' amazement. On her way back to the level ground though, Luna loses her footing when a ledge she's stepping on gives way. She manages to hold on to a branch and she panics. She can't follow instructions anymore.
Suddenly, Fortis sings her favorite song to calm her down. He tells her that she can hum along as well. Luna is amused. She regains her calmness and able to land on a nearby ledge. She climbs back to where Fortis is.
Fortis rushes and hugs her tight. Fortis tells her she is safe now and Luna does not answer. Fortis assumes that she is crying and tells himself that that is normal. When Luna looks at him though, she wasn't crying to the confusion of Fortis.
Luna tells him she got worried for a moment a while ago when Fortis started singing. She thought Fortis lost it already. Fortis explains that that is what they do in the ships when there is panic.
Luna thanks Fortis and then tells him to stay away because it is cold, implying that she'll change her clothes.
Fortis immediately knew that she was lying and that she was really just going to cry out alone. He ponders that she probably thinks that he is still an enemy and should hide her weakness. He thinks that she should cry on his shoulders and suddenly thought that she is cute.
Nike wakes up a few hours later after presumably feeding her the medicine. She is confused.
After having a meal on snakes, Luna walks at the seashore deep in thought. She encounters Fortis.
Luna asks how Fortis knew about the lyrics of the song. She never expected anyone else to know about it, much less sing it as it is not popular to many. Fortis tells her that he also happened to like the song. That is why he was happy to know they have a common interest when he found out about it.
To this, Luna directly asks what he is scheming. Fortis grew quiet and tells her they should head back as the wind is getting colder. He left ahead of her.
While watching him walk away, Luna remembers the time when she was in his arms. She wanted to cry then and there but something held her back. She is holding back her feelings for Fortis and it is taking its toll on her.
Chapter 36:

Summary:
Nike, in her true attire, is walking near the seashore. She meets Fortis who admired her natural hair color. Someone throws a fish against Fortis' face.
It was Livius warning not to hit on somebody else's wife.
The four has been fishing for food, as they are still at the island.
As a whole, it looks like the four have been enjoying themselves. Livius even got along with Fortis, something that never happens with another adult.
Nike comments on this to Luna, who then reminds her that Fortis might be a friend on the island but he will be back as an enemy when they reach home. Nike observes that Luna doesn't like that thought.
The four eats their roasted fish and plans to escape the island.
Luna has been basically sad since the night on the seashore with Fortis. Apparently, she now personally likes him but as princess of the Ocean Country, she couldn't let any scheme against them succeed. What a twist!
Nike goes to Fortis to confront him. Fortis still doesn't say anything. This makes Nike make a bet. If she summons the rain and someone comes to them, she will win and Fortis has to tell Luna the truth. If no one comes, they will leave Fortis alone.
Nike summons the rain and successfully captures the attention of their aides. Nike tells Fortis to not take cover and get drenched in the rain for making Luna cry. Luna thanks Nike later on.
That night, their rescue came.
Nike has won the bet.
Chapter 37: My eyes on you

Summary:
Liu, Fortis' aide, gets off the ship and asks Fortis is he is alright. Liu tells him that he has so much to ask but he has to convey a message from Raama first (Ocean Country's capitol). Fortis takes his leave with Luna smiling.
When they get back to the castle, Luna's parents are enraged but Fortis told them that it was him who invited them to the island, giving Luna a free pass. Livius plays along.
Fortis hasn't come back yet and people started to think that he ran away from the bet. Luna defended him though and said it doesn't matter because they were going to Raama to anyway. Fortis just went ahead of them.
When Luna returns to her room, she tells the staff to leave the Rizeria flowers in her room. She likes them. She also begins to wonder what else Fortin likes aside from the song he sung.
Suddenly, she sees Liu, Fortis' aide, sitting on a couch in the room. Liu comments how Luna and Fortis have the same air about them, like they are in love. He adds that everything will be clear soon.
Liu also recounts about the time Fortis had to buy 100 boys' freedom from a human trafficker near them. This earned Fortis many vile rumors when he only wanted to rescue the boys. Fortis intended to be engaged to Luna but break it off at the last minute because she was way younger than her. He merely intended at first to secure the relationship between two countries. Luna didn't like that idea.
Luna has made a decision.
It's not because Fortis wants her to believe in him. It is because Luna will believe in him.
Luna, Nike and Livius reach back to Raama, where a welcoming party was stationed. Fortis and Liu were also there waiting for them.
When the three sees Fortis though, they are all surprised. Fortis has shaved off his beard!
Luna smiles.
Apparently, Luna requested that he do exactly that and that he should keep his hair down. Fortis did as told.
Fortis asks if Luna likes it and she smiles and says, "Yes! Very much!"
Chapter 38:

Summary:
There were a lot of tea parties hosted by Fortis. Luna and Fortis got along very well.
Later, Fortis welcomes Prime Minister Garariya to the party. He then presents jars of narcotics to the table and makes Garariya explain them.
Fortis tells them that they found this cargo heading to the royal palace in Ocean Country.
Luna exclaims that the family is not committing any crime.
Fortis admits that he went undercover to infiltrate the family at first because that was what he initially suspected. Luna understood that Fortis could not tell her because everyone is a suspect. The engagement was only for the duration of the investigation.
Fortis adds that he found out that the royal family has nothing to do with it.
It was Prime Minister Garariya.
Suddenly, he takes Luna hostage but Teibe, Luna's brother, manages to free her by hitting Garariya with a sword. The crisis has ended.
Later, Fortis gives an advise to Livius. He tells him that he shouldn't hide the dark parts of his past to Nike. They must learn to accept all of it. Livius insists that it is not necessary.
Chapter 39:

Summary:
Almost everyone in Luna's family are depressed with what happened and Luna feels like she has to cancel the ball to be held that night. Teibe is handling all the affairs now.
Fortis informs Luna that he will be leaving early but some of his men will be left to handle with the peace-keeping.
Liu asks Fortis why he had to leave early on the way out. Fortis says that if he doesn't, it will be harder to pull away. He makes an issue about the age gap and how he won't survive if he gets rejected by Luna for a younger man.
Meanwhile, Livius gets naughty with the bare shoulder dress that Nike has put on.
Luna walks in on them and Livius is forced to stop. Luna mentions how she envies their relationship and Livius tells her that she should be honest and talk to Fortis. If he rejects her, Nike and Livius will be there to help heal her heart...and maybe physically hurt Fortis as well.
Luna recovers her usual self and agrees to run after Fortis.
Back to Fortis, Liu is doing what he can to slow down their travel. He feels that Luna will try to catch up on them although he is not sure.
Suddenly, Fortis sees Luna on a horse.
Fortis asks why she's there and not riding a carriage.
Luna jumps to Fortis, hugging him.
She tells that she doesn't want to part ways with him and call off the engagement. She tells him that she wants to marry him and calls him Claude, his first name.
Fortis gets embarrassed as Luna said it in front of so many people. He tells Luna that she has a bright future ahead and that he is really not that reliable as she might think. Luna however says she wasn't raised to regret decisions that she has made. She tells him that as long as he is willing, her bright future is his for the keeping.
Fortis then tells her that he understands and they will continue with the engagement.
A few days later, Nike and Livius goes back the the Sun Kingdom.
Prince Memphis, Luna's oldest brother, suddenly arrives and is aghast that he just missed Nike. He would have loved to talk to the rain summoning princess as she is highly regarded in the academe. He wishes he could meet her some day.

A group of men, one in a hooded cloak, talk about Nike who they plan to kidnap.
Back in the castle, Livius' past casts a shadow in the present as Nike realizes that Livius has been withholding information from her.
Nike goes into town and sees an injured white dog. She treats it at a forest and meets its owner, the hooded guy from the inn (of course, Nike doesn't know about it). The one in the hood does not realize to whom she was talking to until Nike introduces herself. The guy in a hood turned out to be a pretty girl.
The two looks at each other, mesmerized.
Chapter 43: White Trick

Summary:
Nike talks with the platinum white-haired traveler, who asks that Nike not mention her to Livius as the country supposedly do not take kindly to travelers.
The traveler then asks Nike to teach her how to sing. Nike reluctantly agrees.
The traveler introduces herself as Slan and arranges a meeting with her in the same spot in three days.
After Nike leaves, Slan grins.
It turns out that Slan isn't her real name. It's Ursula. And someone with Ursula was observing while hiding. Ursula calls her Nero. Ursula tells Nero that this was too easy and thought it would be harder. The kidnappers intend to punish Livius through Nike.
Nike tries to research on the traveler's country but couldn't find anything on it.
Bard, Livius' uncle, warns Livius that it might not be good to keep things from Nike.
Later, Nike catched Livius in the garden and ends up eating a berry pie without utensils. Their hands get covered from all the gooey food and instead of going back to the palace to wash themselves, Livius licks the rest off from Nike's hand.
And then, and then.. (fan girl scream)
Chapter 44: To Far Distances

Summary:
The three-day festival held in honor of the Sun King's birthday is in official swing and representatives from other kingdom's gather at the palace.
Nike tells Livius that she'll be out for a meeting and will be back later. Nike goes to meet up with Slan.
Nike proceeds to teach Slan how to sing. While practicing though, Slan's dog is bitten by bees. They rush it to a doctor and manages to save it. Slan is grateful and gives her a medicine box.
Before parting, Nike tells her that they'll meet again. After leaving, Slan/Ursula says in her mind that Nike is wrong. The next time they meet, they will be enemies.
Chapter 45: The Kingdom's Birthday Festival

Summary:
Today is the Sun King's birthday festival but Nike is sad. Nike has been going to the forest daily after the last incident, she never saw Slan again.
Meanwhile, Violetta, Nike's friend, ponders about Slan in the village. She felt like she met her before. She gazes upon the pictures of Nike and Livius and thinks that Nike looks different on the photograph. She looks like a 'replacement princess.' Just then, she remembers someone tell her, "It's a secret, Violetta."
Violetta immediately runs to Bard.
Later, Livius takes a look at the gifts bestowed on Nike. He freezes when he sees a certain emblem on one of the gifts.
Violetta reaches the palace and escorted by a soldier supposedly to Bard. This was a trap though and Violetta is nabbed by the kidnappers.
Livius summons Nike immediately to talk to her. He asks where the medicine container came from. Nike answers that it was from Slan.
Livius looked like he has seen a ghost. Livius dazes off and thinks how he can be in the same world as Nike, his love and light. He looks at his hands and sees blood and dead bodies. He remembers a woman call him a murderer.
Livius screams, "It's not my fault!!"
Nike tries to calm him down.
Livius tells Nike that he can't calm down. What he thought was over is haunting him back again. The emblem on the medicine container is from a certain royal family. It was the Ice Kingdom's Queen, Ursula Luichanier. She is the queen of the kingdom Livius destroyed.
Chapter 46:

Summary:
Nike continues to try to calm Livius down. Livius apologizes and tells her that he was only shocked. Livius continues that he was cruel and merciless and there was no way for him to climb to the top without dirtying his hands. He vows to make sure they can never rise up again. Livius goes mad and talk about conquering the world again. Livius wonders why Nike is not on his side on this one. He slams her on the bed and grips her wrists. He asks why she rejects him. He asks whether he should kill again. He says he will never forgive her if she leaves. He tells her that he will kill again if she runs away.
He won't kill her but he will everyone else, including her family's acquaintances. Livius become a dark character, threatening Nike of her freedom.
After Livius leaves for an emergency meeting, Nike looks at her swollen wrists.
Bard and others find out that Ursula is in the country and tightens security. Bard asks if Livius has explained what's happening to Nike and Livius answers that he can't afford Nike looking at him with frightened eyes. Livius then shouts "shut up!" countless times to Bard's concern.
Somewhere in the palace, rebels intending to kidnap Nike has made a move. They seem to come from royal families. One of them says that it's better to rebel from the inside. One of them looks like Fortis.
Wow, Livius really lost it in this chapter.
Chapter 47:

Summary:
Violetta is captured and is used by the assassination group
to infiltrate the festivities. Nike, on the other hand, wears her engagement
ring to the celebration to tell Livius that she is never going to leave him.
Livius, on the other hand, only seemed to be happy that Nike is following him
like a good pet.
Chapter 48:

Summary:
Livius continues to act strangely towards Nike.
Later, Ursula’s group moves in the celebration and manages
to go close enough to Livius that Ursula was able to attempt to kill him with a
dagger. Nike instinctly shields him with

Nike gets hurt but lives. Now, guess what happens to Ursula,

In this chapter, we find out that Ursula was Livius’
ex-fiancee.

Summary:
Livius fears that Nike, who he views as his savior, will
leave him. Meanwhile, Nike is shown the White Gold Tower where Livius and his
mother Sheila once lived. It is revealed that Livius did not start the war. It
was initiated by his father, King Leonidas III.
Nike gets dizzy in two instances and blames it on stress.
Chapter 51:

One of Princess Ursula's conspirators finds Violet to warn her of an impending plot. Violet once again tries to warn the palace but is too late.
At the castle, smoke begins to fill the kitchen. It is not smoke from a fire but it makes people dizzy and sleep. The right wing and upper courtyard are quickly engulfed in it. This includes the Queen's residence (Nike's place). King Livius quickly realizes that Princess Ursula intended to be caught on purpose in order for the palace guards to relax the security. Ursula and her group's real plan was to unleash a poisonous gas throughout the palace.
In the meantime, two men wearing gas masks penetrates the prison and rescues Ursula and her righthand Nero. They give them gas masks and a dagger.
Livius seriously worries as he finally pieces everything together. His staff tries to bring Livius to a safer place but finds that the hallway is already filled up with poisonous smoke.
At that moment, a strong wind manifests.
It was Nike. She has come to save Livius, using her power to cast the gas aside.
Livius, Nike and the others moves to a safer place. They guess that the smoke comes from a poisonous plant that debilitates people. Livius decides to stay in that room until morning. He believes that if they can last until morning, the poisonous smoke would naturally diffuse and it would be Ursula's loss. By morning, reinforcement would have arrived. Bard, Livius' right hand, reminds him that the poisonous smoke would spread to the nearby towns instead. But Livius tells him this is the only thing he can do. At that moment, without his powers, Livius says he is just a child. But, the second they tide over this, Livius declares that he will be attacking the nearby towns surrounding the former Ice Kingdom (Ursula's domain). He says he has tolerated them long enough and the Sun Kingdom won't be made a fool.
When tried to appease, Livius snaps and angrily lashes out, "King of the World. Isn't that something I got from brute force? By pinning idiots down by the nape of their necks?"
In this scene, Nike watches Livius and thinks that she finally understands. Nike has managed to turn away the dark side of Livius but now, it is coming back. This is the turning point for them as a couple.
Nike approaches Livius and hold his right hand, which was still pointing at someone. Nike calmly tells him that she won't be taking the path that he wants to take now. She says, "We can't go that way together."
Livius turns around to look at Nike. He finds her smiling. She continues, "I'm not letting you go either."
Outside, the villagers gossip about a rumored poisonous smoke in the palace but it is unconfirmed. A female traveler overhears it and wants them to repeat it. This traveler seems to poised to play a role in the upcoming chapters.
Chapter 52:

Summary:
The chapter picks up from when Nike tells Livius that she cannot go with Livius on that path and that she won't let him go on it either.
Livius asks what she means she can't go and not letting him go either. Livius starts to scream at her. He asks if she means she is leaving him. He tells her that he'll never forgive her if she does and that he'll kill everyone.
Nike explains that Livius is running away to that hated side of him and that it should end here.
She asks if he remembers the "Returning To The Dark Ceremony" (when Nike had to retrieve a ring to become qualified to be queen). Nike had told Livius that they would imagine a brighter place and they will go there together. However, Nike understands that Livius has always realized that he has committed so many sins and this bothered him, making it an indelible stamp on himself.
Nike asks whether Livius is giving up on being happy. Nike asks if Livius believes that he has no right to be happy.
Nike explains that Livius subconsciously wants people to hate him. If people hate him, it gives him more reason to fight. Nike continues that, to Livius, it is much better if people attack him in the palace. Then, it would have the facade of a justifiable retribution.
Livius is shocked that Nike has saw through him that much.
Livius silently tells Nike that because he is a scoundrel, he won't be changing anytime soon. Nike tells him that it will change because Nike is there. Otherwise, Livius can go ignore her and take that path. But will he be able to laugh after that?
Nike reminds him that he himself told her to make his life interesting and funny. Nike intends to fulfill that wish. She wants to bear the burden with Livius.
Nike then hugs Livius tightly and says, "I love you very much, Livi." Nike continues that no matter how much of a scoundrel he is, she will always love him.
Livius finally understands. He doesn't have to become dark again.
Tears fall from Livius' eyes.
Livius tells Nike that he'll do his best from now on.
Nike then asks Bard if they can access the upper towers from the room they are in. If she makes it rain, the smoke will be subdued and the affected people cleaned off the poison on their bodies. Nike heads off to the tower.
Livius has a bad feeling though. When Nike hugged Livius, Livius felt that Nike's body was too cold. It wasn't just her hands, it was her whole body. Livius tells Bard to stop Nike.
Nike positions herself in the tower and starts to sing. She wonders though why she feels an increasing dizziness.
Overhead, crows fly in circles.
In another place of palace, Ursula is surprised to hear Nike's rain song.
The rain song is in full swing. Somehow however, "Nike's self" can't control the power. "She" is being blown away.
Thunderstorm clouds gather in the kingdom.
Strong rain comes pouring.
The smoke decreases and the people in the palace wakes up.
Ursula and her allies withdraws from the castle as Nike continues to sing.
Chapter 53:

Summary:
As Nike sang the rain song, she feels that her "self" is strangely slipping away and something is entering her. Slowly, she grapples with trying to keep her memory of her name, age, and her family. Nike doesn't notice that Bard is trying to tell her that there is no more need of rain and she can stop now. However, she continues to sing in a trance-like state. The weather starts getting dangerous as even Bard gets a cut from a small whirlwind.
Livius rushes towards where Nike is and tries to stop her.
The stranger from the last chapter appears and is quickly recognized as Kara, Nike's older sister. Kara explains that the weather is being caused by Nike unintentionally because a 'limiter' placed on her has been off. The Rain Calling is a strong power and if the summoner does not have self-restraint, she will be dragged along with it. In Nike's case, she was given several 'limiters.' But one of the limiter gems got broken (when she saved Livius from the assassination attempt).
Kara then tries to take on Nike and joins her. Kara then tries to slow down the tempo and they sing as if they are in a conversation.
Nike stops and Kara puts on her a necklace of black lotus stones that reduces rain summoning powers to a degree. After momentarily gaining her sense, Nike collapses against Livius.
Nike is given medical treatment and the doctor tries to figure out what was the poison used on the dagger meant for Livius. However, none of the antidotes they tried worked.
Livius panics as the doctor informs him that he can't help anymore.
Chapter 54: Bring Back The Love

Summary:
Nike dies and Livius goes on a suicide.

The chapter picks up with Nike still fighting for her life as people look on, helpless. Livius is on the brink of going crazy for not being able to do anything. Nike's painkillers are doubles as she cries out in pain. Kara feeds Nike some medicine, using her own mouth as vessel. She chants some old verses and Nike falls asleep. It turns out that Kara is good at this.
Livius orders Niel to open the Door of the Four Gods. He intends to go to the Senate for help. This is a huge deal because Livius and the Senate are at each other's neck. However, they are the experts in the land, the reason why Livius kept them alive.
When consulted, the Senate tells Livius that they know how Livius feared that Nike might leave him. They suggest that this is the perfect opportunity if Livius really wanted to have what he had previously suggested. With Nike not being able to move, she will never be able to leave him.
Livius answers that before Nike collapsed, she told him that she wants a lifetime of happiness with him, that she wants to keep on living, laughing with him. Livius wants to fulfill Nike's dream. He wants to live in the world pictured by Nike.
Moved, the Senate tells him that a pharmacist living in the Forest of Wonders could help them. However, the female pharmacist likes to be alone. Only those who could find her are the ones she entertain. Livius must find her on his own. The pharmacist's name is Cassandra, The Great Witch.
Livius is confident that he will be able to find her despite the challenges.
Chapter 55: Departure to the Sky

Summary:
King Livius is told that he has to go on a journey alone to save his love. He has to go to the Forest of Wonders and find the witch Cassandra. The doctor declares that Nike has only half a month to live without any antidote to the poison.
Livius finally understands the value of people as they helped him for the trip. He also finally chose to leave the dark side and go into the world as he has always seen Nike live in. From dark to light, Livius has started living in the same world as Nike, a world full of light, as bright as the sky and as green as grass.
Now, his journey begins.
Chapter 56:

Summary:
King Livius is finally off. Not everything seems to be peaceful though as a pair of eyes seem to follow him in his journey.
Before Livius leaves, someone gives him an accessory to use if ever his identity becomes compromised.
Livius never thought of using it until he had to check-in for a room at an inn as kids without companions stand out too much outside.
The accessory was a long wig.
Livius was immediately allowed a room.
While there, he uses his "charms" to get information about the Forest of Bewilderment from the rowdy men at the inn.
In the meantime, Nike, who is still asleep, mumbles, "Livi, you are so cute. Somebody make a portrait."
Livius creates a ruckus where he is saved a man (who earlier was praising Nike as an angel and Livius as her bad luck). When the man sees Livius with his long hair, he immediately grabs his hand and asks, "Are you an angel?"
Chapter 57:

Summary:
"An angel," the guy continues as he holds Livius' hands to his horror. They guy inches closer to Livius.
Suddenly, another man, later known to be named as Kimataki, appears and hits the guy on the head.
"What are you doing, Kimataki?" the guy says as he rubs his head.
"That should be the miss' line," Kimataki answers. He then explains that the guy easily falls for cute girls and that once he has fallen for them, he is persistent. Quickly grabbing the guy, Kimataki tells Livius to run. Livius just stares at them as the guy begs for just one conversation. Livius allows one conversation.
The three sit at a table and Livius explains that he is looking for the witch Cassandra to help heal "her older sister." He then asks the two to help him go to the bandits' hideout, the ones who closest to the forest.
The two explain that the bandits are called Scarlet Storm and they claim to match the power of the Sun King. Livius then plans to introduce himself to the chief of Scarlet Storm and hope that the bandits will point the way to the witch Cassandra.
The two agree to guide him and asks Livius for his name.
"Bianca," Livius slowly replies and claimed to be a farmer.
The guy then tells him that his name is Jishin and the man is Kimataki.
Jishin tells Livius that since they will be placing their own lives in danger, he will have to ask for a reward. Anything, Livius said.
"Go on a date with me," Jishin states.
The next manga panel would show Livius locking himself up in his room after the conversation with Jishin.
The old woman who manages the inn became concerned. When she finds out that Livius has to go on a date with Jishin, she offers to make Livius prettier.
The next day, Jishin was waiting for Livius, holding a bouquet of flowers with Kimataki being instructed to follow them around because Jishin is too nervous.
Livius then arrived, apologizing for being late. He wore a dress with some lace and ribbons. His long wig was braided.
First, they go to a sweets shop. On the way there, Livius asked what kind of a bird they just passed by. It was a white-backed dusky thrush, Jishin replies.
At the sweets shop, Jishi tries to spoon-feed Livius with ice cream.
Livius allows Jishi to feed him while his thoughts ran like this: "For Nike's sake, for Nike's sake, for Nike's sake."
Jishi then goes on stage (the sweets shop has a stage) and sings. It turns out that Jishi is the best singer and dancer in town.
After eating, they eat some more and played games.
Finally, at the end of the day, the two were alone and asked Jishin asked to see Livius' hands.
Jishin then tells Livius that he knows that he is pretending to be someone. A farmer would always recognize the bird they saw earlier because when the time they makes nests is the time the farmers start planting seeds. Also, Livius' hands look like they never held a hoe or harrow. He had beautiful hands. Jishin tells Livius that he must be of noble birth.
Livius tries to protest but Jishin holds him against a huge rock boulder. Jishin tightly holds both of Livius wrists and quietly asked who he is.

Summary:
The chapter picks up from when Jishin held Livius against a rock boulder and demanded who Livius really is.
Bianca didn't say anything but looked down. Jishin softened and asked if he made her cry. He didn't mean to, he said. He just wanted the truth.
Suddenly, Livius headbutts Jishin and manages to throw him to the ground. Livius then runs away. This only served to confirm Jishin's suspicions.
Livius headed directly to the inn, grabbed his things, and hurriedly left on horseback.
Kimataki, Jishin's friend, followed Livius, who was still wearing the wig. Kimataki asked where Jishin is. Sensing Bianca's agitation, Kimataki simply said that Jishin must have done something to the lady and offered to escort her in the meantime since it was dangerous at that time to leave an unaccompanied lady all alone in the mountains.
They come across an encampment. There were historical ruins around and looked like it was occupied by outlaws. The two hid and Livius tried to crane his neck to see more. Kimataki pulled him down and said something about treason. He didn't explain though when Livius asked what he was talking about. Kimataki comments that Bianca is very gutsy as she didn't even scared. Livius immediately says that he is scared and points that she is even trembling from fear.
Kimataki then decides that they should get down to the encampment so they can find a way to meet the leader of the outlaws.
When they were going down, Livius notices that Kimataki seems to very knowledgeable about the place even though it is a rebel camp. When Livius turns to ask Kimataki, Kimataki suddenly knocks Livius out. Kimataki then says that Jishin ordered that no one should go near the stronghold.
While knocked out, Livius dreams about the time that he bumped his head when he was a child and his mother Sheila helped tend to his injury. Bianca then wakes up.
Livius finds a little boy taking care of him. Livius realizes that Jishin and Kimataki must be part of the outlaw group and immediately runs. The little boy is helpless to stop Livius.
Bianca runs around but finds that there are men everywhere. In the meantime, news has spread that there was an intruder in the stronghold and the outlaws became excited to catch a "cute girl." Kimataki, and his companion, a certain Laios, were puzzled why the young men in the camp looked to be in high spirits. The little boy who was tasked with guarding Bianca then shows up. It turns out that the little boy's name is Kana and he informs Kimataki and Laios that Bianca has escaped.
Bianca is still trying to evade the men. While running, she realized one thing. The men might do something "dreadful" to "lovely girls." His "virtue" is in danger!
Since he couldn't reveal that he is really King Livius, he decided that he must escape at all costs.
As Livius tries to escape, there's a flash to Nike. She is still sleeping but it looked like she was cheering him on.
Eventually, Livius' body grew tired and it was inevitable that he would get caught. He was brought to what looked like a huge temple. There, he meets Laios.
Laios explains that there was no need to escape and that it was Kimataki's fault to begin with. Kimataki reasons out that Bianca realized Kimataki's identity and before he knew it... Bianca was irritated because it didn't happen like that. In any case, Laios told Bianca that she was free to go.
Bianca tells Laios that she can't. She says she came all the way there to ask Laios, the leader, help.
Laios tells her that he is not the leader. Kimataki confirms this and points to Bianca where the leader is.
Bianca looks to the side, where Kimataki is pointing, and it turns out that the leader is... Jishin.
Jishin looks at Bianca with a neutral expression.

Summary:
Jishin tells Bianca that before he explains everything, there is something he must do first.
Jishin grabs a whip and gives a lash to one of his men. He tells them that nobles are bad but women are an exception. Jishin also tells them that nobles are to be killed and fed to the pigs.
Bianca freaks out. Now, she can never tell them he is really King Livius.
Jishin then aks if Livius is alright. Jishin also tells his men that he is returning Bianca to the royal capital. He will not allow just anyone to meet the witch Cassandra even if that person is from nobility. He won't let anyone who lie to meet Cassandra either.
Livius tells Jishin that meeting Cassandra to save someone is the truth.
Jishin then says that if she wouldn't leave but she wouldn't tell him the truth either, then she could stay at the encampment for a while and force her to tell the truth.
Suddenly, a masked stranger attacks the group by throwing some spikes. The stranger was giving Livius a chance to escape. Kana, the little kid, helps Livius get away as well.
Jishin tries to capture Livius but he is stopped when the roof of the building looked like it was going to collapse.
Jishin is knocked out but was not buried with the debris. He only got separated from the rest of the group. The masked stranger stood next to him.
In the meantime, Kana led Livius to escape. During that time, Kana tells Livius that he is a war orphan and that Laios picked him up when he was a baby. Kana also tells Livius that the people in the nearby city, Ecoat, are in cahoots with them. If they scare people, no one would go through the forest. In truth, the forest is just as dangerous just like any other forest. The people in Ecoat love Cassandra. When there was an epidemic and everyone thought that they would all die, Cassandra and Jishin saved the people. Kana divulges that Jishin was a kid when he was left in the forest. He was found by Cassandra who then raised him.
Then, the masked stranger finds them. The stranger, who looked like a girl wearing a mask and cape, wanted Livius to follow her. She whispers to him that she knows he is King Livius and that she wants to leave Kana behind because he is weak.
Jishin saves them and the masked stranger flees.
Kana tells Jishin to take Bianca to the forest. Jishin agrees to help Bianca escape but tells Bianca that he still has not decided to allow Bianca to meet Cassandra.
As the two walk together, Livius imagines Nike telling him to be honest with people if he wants people to be honest with him. Livius thus decides to be honest.
Livius starts using the masculine language and removes his wig. He tells Jishin that his real name is -
"Livius. I am the Sun King, Livius the First."

One of Princess Ursula's conspirators finds Violet to warn her of an impending plot. Violet once again tries to warn the palace but is too late.
At the castle, smoke begins to fill the kitchen. It is not smoke from a fire but it makes people dizzy and sleep. The right wing and upper courtyard are quickly engulfed in it. This includes the Queen's residence (Nike's place). King Livius quickly realizes that Princess Ursula intended to be caught on purpose in order for the palace guards to relax the security. Ursula and her group's real plan was to unleash a poisonous gas throughout the palace.
In the meantime, two men wearing gas masks penetrates the prison and rescues Ursula and her righthand Nero. They give them gas masks and a dagger.
Livius seriously worries as he finally pieces everything together. His staff tries to bring Livius to a safer place but finds that the hallway is already filled up with poisonous smoke.
At that moment, a strong wind manifests.
It was Nike. She has come to save Livius, using her power to cast the gas aside.
Livius, Nike and the others moves to a safer place. They guess that the smoke comes from a poisonous plant that debilitates people. Livius decides to stay in that room until morning. He believes that if they can last until morning, the poisonous smoke would naturally diffuse and it would be Ursula's loss. By morning, reinforcement would have arrived. Bard, Livius' right hand, reminds him that the poisonous smoke would spread to the nearby towns instead. But Livius tells him this is the only thing he can do. At that moment, without his powers, Livius says he is just a child. But, the second they tide over this, Livius declares that he will be attacking the nearby towns surrounding the former Ice Kingdom (Ursula's domain). He says he has tolerated them long enough and the Sun Kingdom won't be made a fool.
When tried to appease, Livius snaps and angrily lashes out, "King of the World. Isn't that something I got from brute force? By pinning idiots down by the nape of their necks?"
In this scene, Nike watches Livius and thinks that she finally understands. Nike has managed to turn away the dark side of Livius but now, it is coming back. This is the turning point for them as a couple.
Nike approaches Livius and hold his right hand, which was still pointing at someone. Nike calmly tells him that she won't be taking the path that he wants to take now. She says, "We can't go that way together."
Livius turns around to look at Nike. He finds her smiling. She continues, "I'm not letting you go either."
Outside, the villagers gossip about a rumored poisonous smoke in the palace but it is unconfirmed. A female traveler overhears it and wants them to repeat it. This traveler seems to poised to play a role in the upcoming chapters.

Summary:
The chapter picks up from when Nike tells Livius that she cannot go with Livius on that path and that she won't let him go on it either.
Livius asks what she means she can't go and not letting him go either. Livius starts to scream at her. He asks if she means she is leaving him. He tells her that he'll never forgive her if she does and that he'll kill everyone.
Nike explains that Livius is running away to that hated side of him and that it should end here.
She asks if he remembers the "Returning To The Dark Ceremony" (when Nike had to retrieve a ring to become qualified to be queen). Nike had told Livius that they would imagine a brighter place and they will go there together. However, Nike understands that Livius has always realized that he has committed so many sins and this bothered him, making it an indelible stamp on himself.
Nike asks whether Livius is giving up on being happy. Nike asks if Livius believes that he has no right to be happy.
Nike explains that Livius subconsciously wants people to hate him. If people hate him, it gives him more reason to fight. Nike continues that, to Livius, it is much better if people attack him in the palace. Then, it would have the facade of a justifiable retribution.
Livius is shocked that Nike has saw through him that much.
Livius silently tells Nike that because he is a scoundrel, he won't be changing anytime soon. Nike tells him that it will change because Nike is there. Otherwise, Livius can go ignore her and take that path. But will he be able to laugh after that?
Nike reminds him that he himself told her to make his life interesting and funny. Nike intends to fulfill that wish. She wants to bear the burden with Livius.
Nike then hugs Livius tightly and says, "I love you very much, Livi." Nike continues that no matter how much of a scoundrel he is, she will always love him.
Livius finally understands. He doesn't have to become dark again.
Tears fall from Livius' eyes.
Livius tells Nike that he'll do his best from now on.
Nike then asks Bard if they can access the upper towers from the room they are in. If she makes it rain, the smoke will be subdued and the affected people cleaned off the poison on their bodies. Nike heads off to the tower.
Livius has a bad feeling though. When Nike hugged Livius, Livius felt that Nike's body was too cold. It wasn't just her hands, it was her whole body. Livius tells Bard to stop Nike.
Nike positions herself in the tower and starts to sing. She wonders though why she feels an increasing dizziness.
Overhead, crows fly in circles.
In another place of palace, Ursula is surprised to hear Nike's rain song.
The rain song is in full swing. Somehow however, "Nike's self" can't control the power. "She" is being blown away.
Thunderstorm clouds gather in the kingdom.
Strong rain comes pouring.
The smoke decreases and the people in the palace wakes up.
Ursula and her allies withdraws from the castle as Nike continues to sing.

Summary:
As Nike sang the rain song, she feels that her "self" is strangely slipping away and something is entering her. Slowly, she grapples with trying to keep her memory of her name, age, and her family. Nike doesn't notice that Bard is trying to tell her that there is no more need of rain and she can stop now. However, she continues to sing in a trance-like state. The weather starts getting dangerous as even Bard gets a cut from a small whirlwind.
Livius rushes towards where Nike is and tries to stop her.
The stranger from the last chapter appears and is quickly recognized as Kara, Nike's older sister. Kara explains that the weather is being caused by Nike unintentionally because a 'limiter' placed on her has been off. The Rain Calling is a strong power and if the summoner does not have self-restraint, she will be dragged along with it. In Nike's case, she was given several 'limiters.' But one of the limiter gems got broken (when she saved Livius from the assassination attempt).
Kara then tries to take on Nike and joins her. Kara then tries to slow down the tempo and they sing as if they are in a conversation.
Nike stops and Kara puts on her a necklace of black lotus stones that reduces rain summoning powers to a degree. After momentarily gaining her sense, Nike collapses against Livius.
Nike is given medical treatment and the doctor tries to figure out what was the poison used on the dagger meant for Livius. However, none of the antidotes they tried worked.
Livius panics as the doctor informs him that he can't help anymore.
Chapter 54: Bring Back The Love

The chapter picks up with Nike still fighting for her life as people look on, helpless. Livius is on the brink of going crazy for not being able to do anything. Nike's painkillers are doubles as she cries out in pain. Kara feeds Nike some medicine, using her own mouth as vessel. She chants some old verses and Nike falls asleep. It turns out that Kara is good at this.
Livius orders Niel to open the Door of the Four Gods. He intends to go to the Senate for help. This is a huge deal because Livius and the Senate are at each other's neck. However, they are the experts in the land, the reason why Livius kept them alive.
When consulted, the Senate tells Livius that they know how Livius feared that Nike might leave him. They suggest that this is the perfect opportunity if Livius really wanted to have what he had previously suggested. With Nike not being able to move, she will never be able to leave him.
Livius answers that before Nike collapsed, she told him that she wants a lifetime of happiness with him, that she wants to keep on living, laughing with him. Livius wants to fulfill Nike's dream. He wants to live in the world pictured by Nike.
Moved, the Senate tells him that a pharmacist living in the Forest of Wonders could help them. However, the female pharmacist likes to be alone. Only those who could find her are the ones she entertain. Livius must find her on his own. The pharmacist's name is Cassandra, The Great Witch.
Livius is confident that he will be able to find her despite the challenges.

Summary:
King Livius is told that he has to go on a journey alone to save his love. He has to go to the Forest of Wonders and find the witch Cassandra. The doctor declares that Nike has only half a month to live without any antidote to the poison.
Livius finally understands the value of people as they helped him for the trip. He also finally chose to leave the dark side and go into the world as he has always seen Nike live in. From dark to light, Livius has started living in the same world as Nike, a world full of light, as bright as the sky and as green as grass.
Now, his journey begins.

Summary:
King Livius is finally off. Not everything seems to be peaceful though as a pair of eyes seem to follow him in his journey.
Before Livius leaves, someone gives him an accessory to use if ever his identity becomes compromised.
Livius never thought of using it until he had to check-in for a room at an inn as kids without companions stand out too much outside.
The accessory was a long wig.
Livius was immediately allowed a room.
While there, he uses his "charms" to get information about the Forest of Bewilderment from the rowdy men at the inn.
In the meantime, Nike, who is still asleep, mumbles, "Livi, you are so cute. Somebody make a portrait."
Livius creates a ruckus where he is saved a man (who earlier was praising Nike as an angel and Livius as her bad luck). When the man sees Livius with his long hair, he immediately grabs his hand and asks, "Are you an angel?"

Summary:
"An angel," the guy continues as he holds Livius' hands to his horror. They guy inches closer to Livius.
Suddenly, another man, later known to be named as Kimataki, appears and hits the guy on the head.
"What are you doing, Kimataki?" the guy says as he rubs his head.
"That should be the miss' line," Kimataki answers. He then explains that the guy easily falls for cute girls and that once he has fallen for them, he is persistent. Quickly grabbing the guy, Kimataki tells Livius to run. Livius just stares at them as the guy begs for just one conversation. Livius allows one conversation.
The three sit at a table and Livius explains that he is looking for the witch Cassandra to help heal "her older sister." He then asks the two to help him go to the bandits' hideout, the ones who closest to the forest.
The two explain that the bandits are called Scarlet Storm and they claim to match the power of the Sun King. Livius then plans to introduce himself to the chief of Scarlet Storm and hope that the bandits will point the way to the witch Cassandra.
The two agree to guide him and asks Livius for his name.
"Bianca," Livius slowly replies and claimed to be a farmer.
The guy then tells him that his name is Jishin and the man is Kimataki.
Jishin tells Livius that since they will be placing their own lives in danger, he will have to ask for a reward. Anything, Livius said.
"Go on a date with me," Jishin states.
The next manga panel would show Livius locking himself up in his room after the conversation with Jishin.
The old woman who manages the inn became concerned. When she finds out that Livius has to go on a date with Jishin, she offers to make Livius prettier.
The next day, Jishin was waiting for Livius, holding a bouquet of flowers with Kimataki being instructed to follow them around because Jishin is too nervous.
Livius then arrived, apologizing for being late. He wore a dress with some lace and ribbons. His long wig was braided.
First, they go to a sweets shop. On the way there, Livius asked what kind of a bird they just passed by. It was a white-backed dusky thrush, Jishin replies.
At the sweets shop, Jishi tries to spoon-feed Livius with ice cream.
Livius allows Jishi to feed him while his thoughts ran like this: "For Nike's sake, for Nike's sake, for Nike's sake."
Jishi then goes on stage (the sweets shop has a stage) and sings. It turns out that Jishi is the best singer and dancer in town.
After eating, they eat some more and played games.
Finally, at the end of the day, the two were alone and asked Jishin asked to see Livius' hands.
Jishin then tells Livius that he knows that he is pretending to be someone. A farmer would always recognize the bird they saw earlier because when the time they makes nests is the time the farmers start planting seeds. Also, Livius' hands look like they never held a hoe or harrow. He had beautiful hands. Jishin tells Livius that he must be of noble birth.
Livius tries to protest but Jishin holds him against a huge rock boulder. Jishin tightly holds both of Livius wrists and quietly asked who he is.
