CHAPTER 91: SKY AND RAIN

Summary: There are frequent earthquakes in the Sky Dukedom now, although the worst was the landslide. Nefero has made himself more available to Nike as well, even appearing when she is preparing for a bath. Nike offers to eat with him and Nefero says it's the perfect chance to introduce her to the people. Nike tells him to introduce her as a traveler from Rain Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Livius and Neil are still trying to get passed the mountain range and into the dukedom. Accidentally, Livius falls off a cliff after trying to save Yoru, the pet. Neil jumps after him. They land on water and wake up in a wooden cottage, similar to Cassandra's. Apparently, there were found by an animal-researching "vagabond" named Katara. He has red hair. Katara has rescued them. At first, he did not recognize them but now remembers he is Livius from a coronation ceremony. Katara silently asks Nefero in his mind what he intends to do now that Livius is here.

Back at the Sky Dukedom, Nike attends a ball. She dresses up because she was informed that she could not enter the assembly area if she doesn't wear a dress (who told her she has to attend in the first place?). There, Nefero announces that he and Nike are engaged and will soon be wed! Nike is too shocked to say anything.

When Nike and Nefero got away from the crowd, Nike gives him a resounding slap. She tells him she was too shocked too say anything and she is already engaged to Livius. Nefero tells her that he wants her and pushes her against the wall. When Nike gives him a pained look, Nefero also said it's interesting that she could also make that kind of look. With a dark expression, he said it was irritating that she never made that kind of face with Livius.

CHAPTER 92: DISCORD

Summary: Nike thinks that she did not intend to lower her guard but in her heart, she thought that she and Nefero could understand each other but not in the form of marriage. Nike accuses Nefero of doing this to hurt her, as the queen of Sun Kingdom. Nefero tells her it has nothing to do with her nationality, but her as a woman. He kneels down and promises to treasure her. Nefero asks that she be with him but Nike rejects it. Regardless, her feelings doesn't matter and Nefero takes her necklace where she had her ring on. Nike screams that it be returned and seems to have used enough emotion to unintentionally use the air to scratch Nefero's face and hand and draw blood. Nefero doesn't return her ring necklace and gets her to her room. She is going to be his wife, which is much better than being a prisoner he said. Once she saw their secret, she could never return (ah... remember when Nike insisted that she sees for herself what their secret is?).

Meanwhile, Livius tries to enter the dukedom with the help of Karta, who tells them the story of the legend of the dragon that supposedly created the lake at that place.

Nike decides that she will escape and get back the ring. Afterwards, she will go back and talk about how to escape with Garta (hmm...) It is one of a kind, she thinks. Livius got it from Sheila. She will not be able to face Livius if she loses it (hmmm....). She successfully escapes through a balcony and lands in a river. And then, runs back to the castle to the entrance and then to the stairs. She remembers Nefero's room. She runs there (hmmmm...) Nike finds the room and searches for her ring. She couldn't find it (of course). Nefero suddenly appears and locks the door behind him. He comments that her body is wet. She must have gone swimming (Nike is indeed wet from the river). If she is that desperate to escape from him, he will not hold himself back anymore. He then grabs her.

Well, wasn't that a brilliant plan, Nike. -_-

CHAPTER 93: SHADOW

Summary: Nefero's right hand is on Nike's nape and his left is on her waist. He tried to kiss her but Nike covered his mouth with her right hand. She tries to escape. She is mumbling some indecipherable words as she fights him off.

Nefero ties her up and carries her to his bed. Nike is on her back and Nefero is on top of her. Nefero gets her ring from his pocket. He has been carrying it with him. He shows it to her and tells her that if she cooperates, she will get it back after he is done. He then touches her all over (I don't have the heart to explain this one in detail...) Nike then tears up and cries in her mind, "Livi, I'm sorry." The scene then cuts off.

Back to Livius, they are now one day away to the dukedom. Before they actually get there, Katara confesses that he knew who Livius was and wants to test his sincerity. He makes him cross an island that looks like it is in the middle of the clouds, aptly called the Field of Sea Clouds. Livius succeeds. Karta also requests that Livius saves his misunderstood brother, Nefero. (Who here wants Livius to "save" Nefero, raise your hand.)

Back to the scene of the crime, I mean, Nefero's bedroom, a half-naked Nefero was enjoying himself until he saw Nike crying. He tells her he can't bear to see her crying and stops. (So, Livius can cut his equipment for attempted rape, not consummated rape. Oh wait, Katara says he's only misunderstood, so maybe just half of his equipment.) Nefero leaves Nike alone in the room, still bound.

As Nike contemplates about how powerless she was and how to escape, she cries about how she wants to see Livius so much. Lo and behold, a man that looks like Livius, except that he's middle-aged and has a scar across his face, appears in the bedroom. Nike thinks that his aura is very familiar.

That man who looks like an older Livius tells her that he is on her side. He stood tall in front of her. An older Livius lookalike.
