Chapter 80:

Summary:

Nike and Livius rush to Neil's room after they heard that he collapsed. When they got there, they found Neil still working and handing off documents on his bed. He tells Livius that it is the first grand royal game tournament next week and he must prepare for that.

Livius orders Neil to take a rest and reminded him about what Neil told him when he was a new king, "I hate people who don't take care of themselves."

Livius then accidentally creates a hole in Neil's floor. Neil occupies an old cottage because it is the nearest thing to the castle grounds.

Nike then offers to nurse Neil back to health. Livius objects, saying he can't have the future queen do that. Even Livius hasn't been taken care of by Nike. But Nike insisted and Livius decided to stay as well to keep an eye on Nike.

First stop, sponge bath. Neil looked like he was going to be stripped off or something. Oops, maybe he will be. It is a sponge bath after all. xD

Neil threatens to shout if they proceed any further and Nike changes her mind.

Second stop, a healthy porridge.

While the porridge is cooking, Neil allows himself to reminisce about the past.

He was just a new graduate from the academy when he was assigned at the castle. The new king was some sort of cold-blooded machine, Livius. He doesn't rest and keeps working. He doesn't let people see his weakness. Somehow, Neil was appointed as Secretary and he saw how Livius is really just a child bearing a heavy burden. When Livius skipped a meal again and decided to drink some medicine instead, Livius and Neil got into a fight. It  was then that Neil, at the risk of his head getting chopped off, told Livius that he hates people who don't take care of themselves. Fortunately, Livius accepted it and laughed.

Neil gets up from the bed, thinking that he must have dreamed about Livius.

When Livius comes to his room to check up on him, he finds out that Neil's fever has gone up.

Livius helps Neil to his bed and tries to take his shirt off. He then notices that there are burn and slash marks on his back.

The next day, Neil is back to normal.

As he looks at Livius playing with Nike and Pii-chan (his pet), Neil thinks that Livius has grown up from that dark character in the past. He also pledges his loyalty and will stay at his side forever.
