Chapter 74: Exciting Walk In the Capital



Summary:

Nike hated herself for having feelings of hatred on the concubine issue even when Livius has done so much for her. Livius told her that he is happy about how she felt because that means Nike is jealous.

Nike then expresses her unconditional love for Livius.

An old man then shouts to them, telling them that kids shouldn't be kissing in public.

Meanwhile, Neil leaves the two lovebird to get to a famous sculpture exhibition. On the other hand, Cassandra gets some remarks as well. People supporting Nike mumble words of disdain against Cassandra, such as being a deceiver and being an aging woman.

A new character also makes an appearance. She is Miranda, former Chief of the Royal Society Magazine, now a freelance writer. She's been complaining about the lack of scoops in the society. She wants scandals!

On a quest to get some food (the King apparently doesn't have a habit to carry some money with him), Livius plays in a game of mahjong with some guys. He defeats them with ease. The men then congratulate him and pats his head, accidentally removing the wig he has on. It was then revealed to the commoners that he is the King. And Miranda happened to see it as well.

Chapter 75: 

Summary:

People start to gather around Livius and Nike. Remarks start again as people speculate that Livius is having a dalliance with another woman even though he just got himself with a concubine. Fed up with it, he stands on a table and pulls up Nike with him, who was then recognized by the people. He has an announcement. Miranda, the reporter, who turned out to have been fired by the royalty for making up stories, was there ready to take notes.

Livius tells the people that he was dazzled by Cassandra's beauty but he realizes now that he was wrong. He tells them that since Nike is a tolerant wife, he thought she'll put up with it. But no one has advised him against it. He announces that he is terminating his relationship with Cassandra.

He vows to have only one woman, Nike. She is the one and one woman he will have for the rest of his life.  And if he ever breaks his oath, he will abdicate his throne. He then kneels down and kisses her hand.

People's face start to blush as they watch the love spectacle before them. When Livius kisses Nike, they then start collapsing one by one.

This incident has been called the "Water District's Bloodiest Affair." This has been the topic for its citizens for a long time.

The news spread quickly because of Miranda. The forest was also granted autonomy as alimony to Cassandra. And in this chapter, Cassandra and Jishin finally take off to return to the forest. Livius and Nike wished them a bon voyage.

Kara, on the other hand, has finished Nike's limiter so she can start calling the rain again. Kara calls it "reconnecting." Nike's connection to the sky has been broken. They will be attempting to reconnect now.

Kara and Nike go to a fountain outside and climbs in. They then hold hands together and concentrate. There were some water trying to go up and after a while, Kara tells them it was over.

Nike however is speechless.

She could not hear the sky. She could not hear it anymore.
