CHAPTER 82: DERNITARY, THE ONSEN CITY

Summary: The royal couple starts their onsen vacation. While Livius is busy, Nike forces Garta to take her on a sight-seeing tour. For a moment, they meet a certain Niko-sama at a drinking fountain. He is ushered off by a companion. It turns out that his real name is Nefero. He knew exactly who Nike is. He and his group wonder what she is doing at the city. Regardless, Nefero liked Nike and said, "That person's woman, I want her."

Livius and Nike also were able to go to the hot spring together. Nike wore a swimsuit that resembles a camisole and shorts in one. It wasn't even near a bikini, to the dismay of Livius.

Nike then scrubs Livius' back and suddenly says she knows that he is not just a child in his body and she knows that there are expectations in that situation. However, that is her limit and she hopes Livius waits for her. (And I thought this is Livius' line... xD)

Livius says that he can wait even if forever. But Nike quickly says he doesn't have to wait that long!

After the hot bath, Livius goes back ahead. Nike, however, got knocked out from the steam. She was a bit of stupor when she awakened and tried to look for her room with Livius. She accidentally opens Garta's room, who was just about to take a bath. As Nike exclaims that she thought Garta is secretly a woman and now she is disappointed, a man in a mask appears and knocks both Nike and Garta. He has people with him. They take Nike (their target) and Garta (because he is a witness).

CHAPTER 83:

Summary: Livius is frighteningly calm and composed as everyone looks for Nike. He has a dark demeanor as he tries to find out who could've taken Nike. Neil correctly said that the calmness is a bad sign. He looked like he was boiling inside.

Meanwhile, Nike wakes up in a ship that has already left the port. There with her is Nefero who calls Nike as his. He says he also wants to own the world with Nike's power. He talks like he just acquired a new toy. Nike tries to resist but Nefero threatens her that if she doesn't follow him, he will mess up Garta's face. When Nike tries to threaten him back with her rain power, Nefero forcibly kisses her. He puts some sort of spice to irritate her throat and render her voiceless. Without her voice, she cannot use her power. The kidnappers say they will properly heal her throat in time.

The ship is headed to the Fran Forest, where Nefero expects his army waiting for them.

Back in Livius' group, Yoru (the pet) wakes up. He was with Nike when she got kidnapped but the kidnappers decided to leave him behind. Yoru has been dreaming of where Nike is. He quickly gets up and scratches a location on a map, where Livius could see. It looked like he is pointing to "The Grand Duchy of the Sky." The ruler there is the red-haired Archduke Nefero Steiksrete.

"Could Nike be at that bastard's place?" Livius wonders.

CHAPTER 84:

Summary: Maxine, one of Nefero's cohorts, hands Nike and Garta their food. The kidnapper has already landed at the forest and are getting ready for a land hike. Livius, on the other hand, is already close on their heels. Nefero decides to seal the Gabi Canyon after their group passes it so Livius will have a hard time following them.

Garta and Nike are kept at different places at a mountain in the canyon. While Nefero is making fun of Nike, Garta was able to free himself and take down four guards.

CHAPTER 85:

Summary: Garta attempts to save Nike but Nefero neutralizes him. In a sudden twist, Nike grabs a rock and hits Nefero on the head. She then gets Garta and together, they escape.

Not for long though. Garta is too injured to walk fast. He tells Nike to escape without him. Nike decides to stay with Garta and requests that his wounds be tended to in exchange for their obedience. Because of this, Garta pledges a lifetime loyalty to Nike.

CHAPTER 86:

Summary: Nike, Garta, and the kidnappers arrive at the Sky Dukedom. They are treated as VIP guests there, not prisoners. Nike tells Nefero upfront that she has no powers because of an unknown cause. Nefero tells her that he still can't return her and that he's willing to wait. He's aiming for long-term benefits, he said. He tells her that she's beautiful and he'll allow her to dress up for him, and weep for him. At this point, Nike removes all the Dukedom clothes and jewelry the staff have put on her, leaving some inner garments. Garta then puts a coat on Nike. Nike said she'll never submit to him. She wears dresses and jewelry only for the Sun King. Nefero says she's interesting and calls her by her first name alone, "Nike." Nike is aghast. Only family can call her that. (It shows intimacy in Japanese culture.)

Meanwhile, Livius and his team found a bottle with Nike's limiter in it. This is proof that Nike is at the Dukedom. You see, on the way to that place, the kidnappers would give Nike a medicine in a bottle, to make sure that she can't speak while they travel. She took one bottle, drank it, and then placed a limiter. She then threw the bottle to the river. That river is connected to the river at the Sun Kingdom. Somehow, this bottle was found there. Because of this, Livius decides to go to the Dukedom.

CHAPTER 87:

Summary: Livius is advised not to go to the Sky Dukedom because it will spell trouble. Livius wants to go there and shatter the Dukedom immediately. It's driving him crazy not doing anything but he can't destroy the Dukedom because that would mean he learned nothing from Nike and Cassandra. It is then decided that he will sneak into the Dukedom unnoticed and a certain Miina, who has the same eyes and built as Livius, will dress up and pretend to be Livius in his absence. This time though, Neil is coming with him.

CHAPTER 88:

Summary: Nike recovers her voice although she still can't call the rain. Nefero tours Nike in the Dukedom. He let her see the Temple of the Dragon God. It is said to be able to make the rain fall. They then go to a tavern where Nefero entertained the citizens. Noticing that this is to make them feel better, Nike allowed herself to sing along to Nefero strumming a guitar. Nefero played the Rain Ritual song. He knows about it because he was able to attend one before. Nike still hates Nefero though but still wants to know more about the Dukedom. She is curious as to why they need her power. Nefero, after being forced, then told her that he will show her the Dukedom's secret.

CHAPTER 89:  A CERTAIN VIEWPOINT

Summary: The Dukedom's secret is the salt marshes. They sell the salt at the black market and take the income all for themselves. The Sun Kingdom doesn't know about it. This is also what funds the rebels. Nefero experienced the Dukedom's citizens dying for a simple sickness just because they did not have basic necessities. Livius also refused to help them at the time. Nefero, in other words, wants power to ensure they never have to go back to that dark time. Nike seems to understand their viewpoint and so, Garta had to remind her that she is the future queen of the Sun Kingdom. She mustn't be swayed. Suddenly, there seems to be an earthquake and Nike had to hold herself for balance. When Nike and Garta got back to the castle, they find out that there were five landslides in the biggest salt marsh. Maxine and the others who are on patrol have not yet returned. Nike offers help. She will clear the mist to find Maxine's group. Nike uses the wind to clear the mist and lead the rescue group.

At an unknown camp, Livius and Neil take a rest and eat, planning as well their movement. Livius then heard Nike's singing.

CHAPTER 90: DAWN

Summary: With the help of Nike, the rescue group successfully saves one of the patrol people. Afterwards, Nefero wants Nike to go back and leave him to continue the search for Maxine and Nito. Nike looked like she is at her limit. However, this enraged Nike instead and wants to continue helping. Still, Nefero heads out alone to continue searching. Nefero finds them at some sort of ditch but got himself trapped with them. When he thought that they will there because of the freezing cold, Nike appears and saves them. She led the rescue group to a safe place and then went back to find Nefero and the rest. Nike then tells them that what she is doing might be considered treason (I'd say yes) but she understand that they only did that because they were desperate to live. All of them returns to the safety of the castle and Nike is seen as  saviour by the people.

Nefero was then gossiping about the time Nike was held at the Sand Kingdom because Taishi lost his mind and told everyone she got swallowed by a sand storm (We all know why he did that though and looks like someone is just about to relate to his feelings. lol) Nefero then thinks that at first, he wanted her as a weapon. He didn't want to return Nike to the Sun Kingdom but didn't want to make her his wife at the same time. Now, after spending time with Nike, he just really wants to make her his. (Oh boy... Livius keeps getting a lot of love rivals.)
