Takanashi Chima is a female employee at Mamiya Corporation. Mamiya Hokuto is the President there.

Hokuto's grandfather was in love with Chima's grandmother and when he found out that Chima needed financial help, he forced his grandson to marry Chima.

As in other plots, the two eventually fall in love with each other that they refuse to be split up countless times. They however later on divorced for the purpose of protecting Chima.

After a few volumes, the arranged marriage element gets forgotten and the story revolves about two seemingly incompatible personalities having to live with each other. Hokuto likes to do things on his own while Chima likes to help Hokuto in secret. More often than not, Chima gets on Hokuto's way instead.

Chima cries every chapter, perhaps twice every chapter. She cries in circumstances that doesn't need even crying. She just cries a lot. And Hokuto consoles her. This is basically the scenes that we have to endure over and over again.

Later on, someone tries to kill Chima. (Understandably...)

Apparently, this same tactic was used on Hokuto when he was young. Someone do not want to see him as the Chairman of the business conglomerate and wants to stop him in his tracks. Hokuto used to blame his father but it turned out his father only wanted to protect him. The person who attempted to hurt Hokuto and his family was his uncle's wife, Kayo. She is the mother of Satoru (Hokuto's rival to the chairman position) mother. No one knew of course and the manga does not even dedicate clues to her identity. She was just spun out of the blue.

Chima and Hokuto remarried. Hokuto stopped using the last name Mamiya and married Chima as a Miura, his mother's last name. Hence, cutting all ties with the Mamiya business.

Hokuto started his own business and recruited Chima. There was talk about the possibility that Chima might be pregnant. This ends the unnecessarily long series. I just feel that the ten volumes could have been compressed into around five. There are too many crying scenes.
