Five Additional Mangas with Arranged Marriages
There are more! <3
If you guys have checked my post on arranged marriages mangas, you'll find it to be a long list. But, that list is still not enough. We legion of fans will never tire of more mangas with that theme. Isn't that right? :D
So, without further ado, five additional mangas with arranged marriages:
Ookami-heika no Hanayome
by Mato Kata
Yuurin, the daughter of a low ranking government officer, came to the
royal palace after hearing of a job with higher wages. However, that job
is to act as the bride of Haku Reishou, who is feared as being the
ruthless and heartless "His Majesty, the Wolf." In the royal palace
where conspiracies swirl, after learning His Majesty's secret, Yuurin
ends up stuck being his temporary bride...!?
Reader Miranda Novak summarizes it like this: "The manga is about a girl who breaks stuff over and over again and ends
up having to pay a prince for all the stuff she broke but the only way
to pay him is to marry him but not really she only a fake wife for the
prince till the debt is payed off. They both start to fall in love but
the prince is hiding his true nature."

Shaman King
by Hiroyuki Takei
To most people, ghosts are the stuff of horror stories and nightmares.
But to Yoh Asakura, a transfer student at Shinra Private Junior High,
they're his friends! Yoh Asakura is a shaman--one of the gifted few who
can speak to spirits. by channeling ghosts into his body--like the
long-dead samurai Amidamaru--he can allow them to possess him and use
their powers. But a modern-day shaman faces great responsibilities,
because spirits--and the people who work with them--can be very
dangerous indeed.
Reader Naito Pakire describes Shaman King in this way: "Shaman King (manga is so much better than the anime) probably has the
most unconventional arranged marriage ever (but damn the feels) :)"
Barairo no Yakusoku
by Miyasaka Kaho
Iroha, the daughter of a good family, has just lost her father and was
grieving in her garden when an arrogant but handsome man dressed in a
military uniform trespasses and changes her life forever... The latest
manga from Kaho Miyasaka set in a Taisho era-esque world.
A reader summarizes it as: "manga where the the main female is from a wealthy family.her father
passed away and her step mother forces her to marry a old guy to support
their company or smtg. In the start of the story she meets a guy in
their garden ."
I have actually read Barairo no Yakusoku and I recommend it. It has great graphics and a good plot. It sometimes leans on the evil stepmother and prince is shining armor formula but then again, it's just borderline. The author will make us keep guessing what's the real score between the leading characters.
Taisho Wotome Otogibanashi
by KIRIOKA Sana
In this story set in the early 1920s, Tamahiko is the son of a wealthy
family, but his life is changed forever when an accident cripples his
right arm. No longer considered by his father as an heir, he is
shuffled off into the country, to live out of sight. The teenage
Tamahiko shuts himself in his new home, bitterly thinking of it as the
place where he will die. One day, he learns that his father has
'bought' him a bride to take care of him, when the young teen girl named
Yuzuki arrives at his door. She comes into his life like an innocent
ray of sunshine, and Tamahiko's view of the world and his life starts
changing bit-by-bit.
Thanks to Reader Chitra Roy for the recommendation.
First Girl
by Chiho Saito
A Japanese girl is sold off to a South American business tycoon who
takes her away to this foreign land. Here, he seduces her and the two
slowly fall into a love trap. But while this occurs, another force
interrupts the two's love-web. A revolution and rebellion sparks,
separating the two.
Reader Nanger describes this as: "manga about a prostitute who gave her daughter to a foreigner for
marriage; it was the only way she could protect her daughter. The
foreigner a rich man who lives in a mansion surrounded by blue roses.
The prostitute daughter was also a dancer and because of her rich
husband she got to travel the world performing."
